Rose Fredericks Born: April 9, 1943 in Ottawa, IL Died: June 26, 2024 in Ottawa, IL Rose Marie (Widmayer) Fredericks, 80, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at OSF St Elizabeth Hospital. Visitation will be Monday, July 1st from 4-7pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2nd at 10am with Fr. Driscoll officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Rose was born on April 9, 1943 to William and Anna (Minkos) Widmayer in Ottawa, where she lived nearly her whole life. She attended St. Francis Grade School followed by Ottawa Township High School, graduating in the Class of 1961. She married Arnold Fredericks on June 24, 1961 in St Francis Church in Ottawa. Rose worked in the food service industry her whole life. In her early days she worked as a waitress and then a sales clerk at a local bakery.
