Martha (Thorson) Jacobs, 66, of Seatonville, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria following a courageous and tenacious battle with cancer.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church in Ottawa with Pastor Randy Mortenson, officiating. Entombment will follow at 1:30 pm at Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.Martha was born on October 29, 1957 in Ottawa to Richard and Thelma (Brue) Thorson. She was a graduate of Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in 1975 and Lutheran Brethren Bible College in 1988. Martha loved working with children and was a paraprofessional in Ottawa, Spring Valley, and Princeton schools. Martha also worked at Handy Foods in Ottawa and Spring Valley Supermarket for several years. She
