Cravatta, age 82, of Alexandria, Minnesota, formerly of Streator and Olney, Illinois, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at her home. Sandra Lee (Smalley) Cravatta was born on October 16, 1942, to Elliot and Dorthy (Cavanaugh) Smalley in Streator, Illinois. As a young child, her family moved to Galeon, Ohio where she grew up. She graduated from Galeon High School in 1960. Sandra moved back to Streator in 1960, where she met her husband, Jerome Carl Cravatta. They were united in marriage on June 8, 1963, and had two children. Sandy, with her beloved husband by her side, built a full and vibrant life in Streator. She wore many hats throughout her journey: She started a career working in manufacturing, managing rental properties, and even owning and operating not one but two businesses.
